The dress is knitted from top to bottom with ALPAKKA SILKE.
The work begins by casting on the stitches (S) for the back piece. This is first worked back and forth in rows to form the shoulder slant using short rows. Then, continue knitting straight up to the sleeves.
For the front piece, stitches are cast on along each shoulder – one for the left and one for the right side. Additional stitches are cast on between the two front pieces before the entire front piece is worked back and forth up to the sleeves.
Once the front and back pieces are finished, they are joined and work continues in the round. Stitches are increased evenly along the skirt until the desired total length is reached.
For the sleeves, stitches are cast on around the armholes. The sleeves are knitted in the round and finished with a larger needle to give them a little more width. Finally, the neckline is worked.
